SIMPLE CHRISTMAS TRADITION~MOUSER FAMILY GATHERING

Each year on the blessed night of Christmas Eve, the mousers and their children make the long trip deep into the woods to The Great Tree.

Here all of the animals of the forest will congregate. The ground is a blanket of new fallen snow and the air is filled with the magic of sound as they sing their beautiful carols to honour The Child born that very night so long ago.

Up for your consideration is a five-piece Mouser gathering which includes a prim decorated tree complete with mini lights. All of the mice are made of aged osnaburg and are dressed in quilt shop quality fabrics. Their faces are needle-sculpted, eyes are black seed beads, ears of aged wool felt and whiskers of sisal. Their tails are rusty wire and they all have on spectacles made of rusty wire.

Pa Mouser is 7.5 inches tall to the top of his black wool felt hat. He wears a coat of black flannel and a scarf of red/black striped homespun.

Ma Mouser is 6.5 inches tall. She wears a coat of black flannel. Her coordinating red scarf and red/green striped skirt are made of homespun.

Lil' Tim is 5 inches tall. He wears a coat made of black flannel. His scarf is red homespun and he has black ear muffs to keep him toasty warm.

Tess is also 5 inches tall. She wears a black flannel jacket and coordinating red/tan mini-checked skirt and red scarf.

The tree is approximately 12 inches tall to the top of the rusty star.  It is adorned with rusty bells, homespun ties and mini-lights. I am also including the vintage glitter drape snow to aide you in creating this wynter-thyme gathering.

I WAS GIFTED AND NOW I WANT TO SHARE.....

I went out to the mailbox today expecting the usual stuff....you know what I am referring to.....boring bills and junk mail.  Wow...was I surprised when I saw a manilla envelope addressed to me.  It was from Sue, a wonderfully talented quilt designer that I recently had the pleasure of doing some custom work for.

She sent me this amazing pattern for one of her Halloween wall hangings.  Here is a close-up of the finished item.

These are works of art when they are completed and making them even more SPECIAL are the  buttons that are included with each pattern for use in the quilt.  Here is a picture of the buttons that come with "A Spell Gone Wrong".

Aren't they just the cutest buttons for Halloween you've ever seen!  She also sent me the cutest fall bookmark made with a real leaf pressed into plastic.  What a unique idea!

Thank you soooo much, Sue, for your kind gesture and generosity!  I am humbled and blessed to have met someone so special.  Sue designs these quilted works of art and wholesales from her website  Mouse Blankets.  If you would like to find a retailer of her patterns near you, visit her website at http://www.mouseblankets.com for this and more information.

In the near future, I will post pictures of the finished wallhanging:0)  Have a great weekend!!!

hugs,
Carol
